Mackenzie Critch is an award-winning singer-songwriter from Paradise, Newfoundland and Labrador, whose distinctive sound has been described as a blend of Adele’s powerful vocals and Dolly Parton’s country influence.

Classically and contemporarily trained in vocals, piano, and guitar, Mackenzie has completed Royal Conservatory vocal examinations through Grade 8. Her versatility, powerful voice, and passion for storytelling have established her as a rising force in the East Coast music scene.

Mackenzie’s accomplishments include winning first place in the 2022 MusicNL NewFound Talent competition, as well as being nominated for MusicNL’s 2024 Rising Star Award and the 2024 and 2025 Country Artist of the Year Awards, as well as being Nominated for Music NL’s Fans Choice Entertainer of the Year 2026

A seasoned performer, Mackenzie has taken the stage at venues and events throughout Atlantic Canada. Her performances include appearances at the Cavendish Beach Music Festival, where she performed on two stages in July 2025, as well as the National Grocery Foundation event in Halifax, national RBC conventions, and Ronald McDonald House fundraising events. In May 2025, she also headlined a hometown show that sold more than 200 tickets. Mackenzie is also a household name in Newfoundland, performing at festivals all over the Province, including Squid Fest in Holyrood, all the way to Flight Fest in Gander. 

Mackenzie has built her music career while simultaneously pursuing and completing a university degree. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador. 

On May 23, 2025, Mackenzie released her debut album, Just Having Fun. The album quickly gained momentum, surpassing 100,000 streams within its first month and marking an exciting milestone in her growing career.

With her powerhouse vocals, heartfelt songwriting, and energetic live performances, Mackenzie Critch continues to make her mark as one of Newfoundland and Labrador’s emerging country music artists.
